We started this in early 2023 because the career development space felt broken. Too much theory, not enough real guidance.

Most programs talk about transformation but rarely show you how to get there. We're different. Our approach connects sustainable travel practices with career growth because we learned that the best professional development happens when you step outside your usual environment and see what's possible.

How We Got Here

It wasn't some grand master plan. More like a series of realizations that led to something worth building.

February 2023

The First Workshop

Started with twelve people in a shared workspace in Syracuse. We tested combining travel planning with career mapping. Half expected it to fail. The feedback surprised us—people wanted more structure around how travel experiences could reshape their professional trajectory.

Finding Our Method

Spent three months refining what actually worked. Threw out about 60% of the original curriculum. What remained focused on practical skills—how to research destinations that align with career goals, building networks while traveling sustainably, documenting experiences that matter to employers.

Regional Expansion

Added programs across upstate New York after requests from Rochester and Buffalo. Each location taught us something new about adapting the curriculum. The core stayed the same but local context mattered more than we initially thought.

Partnerships Form

Curriculum Evolution

Completely rebuilt our approach based on participant feedback and outcome tracking. Less classroom time, more applied projects. People learn better by doing, and career development needs hands-on practice. So that's what we built.

Where We Are Now
